🏙️ About Dubai Metro

The Dubai Metro is one of the world’s most advanced and fully automated driverless metro systems. Operated by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), it connects major parts of Dubai through an efficient, clean, and affordable rail network.

Since its inauguration in 2009, the metro has transformed public transportation in the UAE — linking key landmarks like Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Marina, and Dubai International Airport (DXB).

By 2025, the Dubai Metro operates:

  • Two fully functional lines: Red and Green

  • Over 74.6 km of track length

  • 47 active stations across the city

A third line (Blue Line) is currently under construction, expected to further extend the network to newer communities like Mirdif, Academic City, and Dubai Silicon Oasis.
